EC 5.3 Intramolecular Oxidoreductases

EC 5.3 subclass definition

The EC 5.3 subclass contains Intramolecular Oxidoreductases - Isomerases that catalyze intramolecular coupled oxidation-reduction reaction. Further classification is based on type of substrates modified during the catalytic act.

Further classification of EC 5.3 subclass

This classification is based on type of substrates modified during the catalytic act.
  • EC 5.3.1 - Sugar isomerases, that reversible converts aldoses to ketoses in the sugar substances
  • EC 5.3.2 - Tautomerases, that catalyzed keto-enol equilibrium
  • EC 5.3.3 - Isomerases that transport carbon=carbon (C=C) double bonds
  • EC 5.3.4 - Isomerases that transport sulphur-sulphur (S-S) bonds
  • EC 5.3.99 - All other Intramolecular Oxidoreductases
