EC 6.3 Carbon- nitrogen bond synthesis

EC 6.3 subclass definition

The EC 6.3 subclass contains ligases that catalyze synthesis of carbon-nitrogen bonds. Further classification is based on the type of the synthesized products or on the basis of donors involved into catalysis.

Further classification of EC 6.3 subclass

Classification of carbon-nitrogen bond synthases is based on the type of the synthesized products or on the basis of donors involved into catalysis
  • EC 6.3.1 - Amide Synthases or Acid-Ammonia (Acid-Amine) Ligases
  • EC 6.3.2 - Peptide Synthases or Acidx97Amino-Acid Ligases
  • EC 6.3.3 - Cyclo-Ligases
  • EC 6.3.4 - All other carbon-nitrogen Ligases
  • EC 6.3.5 - Carbon-nitrogen Ligases that use Glutamine as Amido-N-Donor
