EC 2.7 Transferases that transfer groups with phosphorus atomsEC 2.7 subclass definitionThe EC 2.7 subclass contains transferases that transfer groups with phosphorus atoms. Further classification is mixed and based on types of acceptor as well as on the number of phosphorus atoms in transferred groups and kinases. This classification is quite complicated but nevertheless allow us to keep a rather large group of enzymes, phosphotransferases, in one subclass EC 2.7.Further classification of EC 2.7. subclassFurther classification is based on the number of transferred phosphourus atoms and on the acceptor type
