EC 1.13. Oxygenases that act on single donor with incorporation of molecular oxygen

EC 1.13 subclass definition

The EC 1.13 subclass contains oxygenases that incorporate oxygen from molecular oxygen O2 into oxidized substrate. These enzymes act on a single donor. Further classification is based on number of incorporated oxygen atoms.

Further classification of EC 1.13 subclass

This classification is based number of incorporated oxygen atoms into substrate during catalysis.
  • EC 1.13.1 - Obsolete, reclassified now as EC 1.13.11
  • EC 1.13.11 - Two oxygen atoms are incorporated
  • EC 1.13.12 - One oxygen atom is incorporated (internal monooxygenases or internal mixed function oxidases)
  • EC 1.13.99 - Other non classified or preliminary classified single donor oxigenases
