EC 1.14. Oxygenases that act on paired donor with reduction or incorporation of molecular oxygen



EC 1.14 subclass definition

The EC 1.14 subclass contains oxyganases that reduce or incorporate O2 - molecular oxygen into one or two oxidized donors. Further classification is based on number of incorporated oxygen atoms and donor type.

Further classification of EC 1.14 subclass

This classification is based number of incorporated oxygen atoms and donor type.
  • EC 1.14.1 - Deleted sub-subclass. One of the donors is NADH or NADPH. This sub-subclass is reclassified as EC 1.14.13, EC 1.14.14, EC 1.14.15 and EC 1.14.99 sub-subclasses
  • EC 1.14.2 - Deleted sub-subclass. One of the donors is ascorbate. This sub-subclass is reclassified as EC 1.13.11 and EC 1.14.17 sub-subclasses
  • EC 1.14.3 - Deleted sub-subclass. One of the donors is pteridine. This sub-subclass is reclassified as EC 1.14.16 sub-subclass
  • EC 1.14.11 - One of the donor is 2-oxoglutarate. One atom each of oxygen is incorporated into both donors
  • EC 1.14.12 - One of the donor is NADH or NADPH. Two oxygen atoms are incorporated
  • EC 1.14.13 - One of the donor is NADH or NADPH. One oxygen atom is incorporated
  • EC 1.14.14 - One of the donor is reduced flavin or flavoprotein. One oxygen atom is incorporated
  • EC 1.14.15 - One of the donor is reduced iron-sulfur protein. One oxygen atom is incorporated
  • EC 1.14.16 - One of the donor is reduced pteridine. One oxygen atom is incorporated
  • EC 1.14.17 - One of the donor is reduced ascorbate. One oxygen atom is incorporated
  • EC 1.14.18 - One of the donor is another compaund. One oxygen atom is incorporated
  • EC 1.14.19 - Pair of donors are oxidized with subsequent oxidation of molecular oxygen O2 to two water molecules
  • EC 1.14.20 - One donor is 2-oxoglutarate. Other donor is dehydrogenated
  • EC 1.14.21 - One of the donor is NADH or NADPH. Other donor is dehydrogenated
  • EC 1.14.99 - Miscellaneous oxigenases
