EC 1.6. Dehydrogenases that act on NADH or NADPHEC 1.6 subclass definitionThe EC 1.6 subclass contains dehydrogenases that acts on NADH or NADPH. The catalytically important is reverse reaction - reduction of the substrate with NAD+ or NADP+ acceptors and therefore many enzymes from EC 1.6 subclass are reclassified for aforementioned reverse reaction - reduction of the substrates with NAD+ or NADP+ acceptors. Further classification is based on acceptors involved in catalysis.Further classification of EC 1.6 subclassThis classification is based on acceptors involved in catalysis.
